Teaching Children to
manage their emotions
Teaching Mindfulness practices, tailored specifically for individuals families needs supports stress reduction, self regulation, levels of well being and can increase our capacity for compassion. We already know that the activities that we share make a real difference with adults too.
Some children will behave out of character, some with quite challenging behaviour if they are experiencing difficult emotions, this brings to our attention a need is not being met, its up to us to tailor the sessions accordingly and with empathy and understanding.
Our children’s ability to understand and manage emotions develops over time, so it’s important for us to deliver our sessions in an age appropriate way, helping them with their understanding of emotions in a fun and interactive way, so to prevent overwhelming emotions later in life.
Teaching our children mindfulness from an early age helped them to sooner spot any physical or emotional challenges, this makes it easier for them stay in control of their behaviour and prevent overwhelm.
